More Kanazawa :)

Kanazawa city is located in the Ishikawa prefecture and sits on the Japan Sea. Getting there can be considered difficult, but its worth the trip. Kanazawa is known for its treasured Japanese garden, samurai houses and tea houses.

Kanazawa Station

A wonderful art museum with a decent permanent collection. It was really cheap too!

Kenrokuen Garden
"Kenrokuen Garden is one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan, along with Kairakuen Garden in Mito City and Korakuen Garden in Okayama City. It is designed for the stroller's pleasure and the name KENROKUEN literally means "garden combining six," referring to its six focal themes of beauty: extensiveness, quiet seclusion, artificial construction, antique elegance, abundant water and wide prospect. It covers an area of twenty-five acres with hills, man-made winding streams, tranquil ponds, and waterfalls.
Kenrokuen garden was originally the garden of the outer residence of Kanazawa Castle built by the fifth Maeda lord, Tsunanori, in the Enpo Period(1673-81). The residence burnt down in the Great Fire in 1881 and only its garden remained. The garden was enlarged in 1774 and finally completed in 1822 by the 12th Maeda lord, Narinaga. Kenrokuen Garden was opened to the public in 1875 after the Meiji Restoration." (source)

I went just before Hanami (the time when all the sakura "cherry blossoms" bloom) it was so beautiful!!

Japanese precision and attention to detail will always astound me.

Suma Beach and Osaka

The view from the 30th floor.

On our way to meet the peeps. This is Osaka Station. They recently renovated the entire station.

Suma beach is in Suma ward in Kobe. Kobe is the capital of Hyogo Prefecture and is known for it's Japanese rice wine (sake) from Nada, Kobe Port Tower, its beautiful night view and last but not least...KOBE BEEF!!! *yuuuummmm*. It was a short trip from Osaka especially on an express train. The walk from the station to the beach was painless and there was a convenience store nearby to stock up on supplies. The water was cool but the sand was a bit coarse. I would recommend the trip because it's so easily accessible!! As we were leaving, before it got dark, it seemed like the party was just getting started in other areas of the beach. Definitely seemed like a good place to have a party!

Bunny Hop!

SHINSAIBASHI
Osaka's main shopping arcade. It reminds me of Osu in Nagoya..but on a much larger scale!!

Shakey's!!! like in the free time ECC books!!! LOL

"THAT WAS YOU?!?!?!?"

"oooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooHHH i get it now! I get it."

The food was amazing!!!...'nuff said.

At the arcade..

...GETTIN' DOWN TO BIDNESS.

Shopping at the Loft is like shopping at a strange hybrid of Walmart, IKEA and a speciality good store.
